Heelwork to Music and Freestyle Dog Dancing

 

The sport is known as Heelwork To Music but it consists of two divisions. One is Heelwork to Music (HTM) and the other is Freestyle (FS).  You and your dog can compete in one or both divisions.  Heelwork requires your dog to walk/trot in one of the eight heelwork positions, the handler chooses their own music and choreographs their own routine.  In Freestyle you are not restricted to heelwork positions and your routine is made up of a series of moves in any position reflecting, timing, and phrasing of your chosen music.

 

The sport is open to any breed and is a great way of bonding with your dog whilst having some fun.  HTM is a social sport, with a friendly community and we welcome spectators at all competitions.
